My CGC 9.8 Batman #1 1:200 Pencil Sketch Variant Comic Book

The DC NEW 52 comics have been an instant hit. MANY of the local chicago comic book shops are having a hard time keeping these issues on the shelves. Every week I walk into a store with bare shelves and just about every #1 issue has been snagged – ESPECIALLY the 1:25 variants – let’s not even talk about the 1:200 sketch variants.

I was lucky enough to snag a few 1:200 DC sketch variants (Action Comics #1, Batman #1) and decided to send them off to CGC to get graded. Well they finally arrived and boy am I glad I sent it off!

My Batman #1 came back with a 9.8! Supposedly there are omly a handful of comics that got a 9.8 – mine is one! I don’t know if I should keep this comic to see if it increased in value or sell it. I decided to put it up on ebay and see if it sells – if it does, then the money is going to be used for more comics and another website idea I have.

Currently there are only 2 9.8 Batman #1 comics listed on ebay – 1 is mine and the other is someone elses. I am looking for your opinion on this comic – If you had this right now, would you sell it or hold onto it for a few years and hope it increases in value?
