Interview with Sexy Cosplayer Erica Fett

Listen up folks, I am back with yet another Hottie of the Month and I’d like to introduce a very sexy cosplayer with a Masters of Science in legal studies Erica Fett.

Explain your normal day – what are your routines?

I’m up pretty early everyday, around 7 am. I usually first check emails, and take some time to respond to those. Then I go through and make a to-do list for the day. So if I have to work on editing, or photos, get ready for a shoot, or even work on a cosplay, I have it all planned out. I always make sure to spend some time throwing the ball to my dog, Bane!

What city do you live in? What do you do for fun? Favorite movie/book/comic?

I’m located in Columbus, Ohio. For fun, I veg out and watch terrible scary movies on Netflix! I also run in races around Ohio! Favorite movie, Blade II or Interview With the Vampire. Book: Dracula, Comic: Anything from the Vampire Chronicles or Dark Horse Predator series

What type of a “nerd” would you consider yourself to be? (sexy, smart, video game, comic book, etc)

Honestly, I’ve always been a smart kid that plays video games. I just happen to be sexy somehow, sometimes!

You cosplay actively as well correct? What is your favorite outfit so far? How often do you cosplay? How much time do you spend on your costume?

I cosplay as more of a hobby! I look up to people so much that devote a ton of time to do it full time. I have cosplayed since about 2012-2013 and usually do it for conventions I attend throughout the year! My favorite cosplay so far would probably be my Miranda Lawson cosplay by Iconic Props. I’m a Mass Effect devotee, so that cosplay meant so much to me!  For the cosplays I do myself, I spend anywhere from 6 hours to two weeks on crafting cosplays.

Would you consider yourself more of a “Miss Marvel, save the world!” or “Harley Quinn, SCREW everybody” in nature?

I’m definitely a Miss Marvel, hands down!

Do you attend any conventions or have you ever been to SDCC? How often do you go to conventions? Which is your favorite? Any plans to attend upcoming conventions?

I have attended SDCC for about 4 years now! I go to various convention around Ohio and the midwest, mostly. My favorites so far are Katsucon and SDCC! I do have a few coming up, Motor City Comic Con and Colossalcon coming up the soonest!

Your social media/website has some great modeling photos –which one is your favorite?

That’s a tough one! So many different photographers have different styles, but I love that! I love to feel well rounded as a model and being challenged by different styles helps with that! I’d say one of my favorites would have to be some of the photos for my recent cover of Elite Online Magazine. I look at those and I’m like, dang, I clean up nice sometimes! Haha!

IF Playboy ever asked you to do a photo shoot, would you accept?

Weirdly enough, my modeling photos have been used on their website! I definitely would consider it! Playboy was on the forefront of pushing boundaries and I respect that.

Do you read/collect comic books? Do you collect anything else?

What is your favorite collectible?

I do read comics! I love anything Anne Rice! I collect so much stuff that I have an entire room dedicated to my collection! I have 50+ Star Wars legos sets, Hikari’s, Light Sabers, SDCC exclusives, and of course, anything Skeleton and Predator. I’m actually working on making an entire wall dedicated to Predator memorabilia!

What is ONE thing that a person would not know by looking at you?

I have a Master’s of Science in legal studies!

What are some of your guilty pleasures?

Matchbox 20. Boiled Peanuts.

What is your favorite way to promote your site or yourself? (twitter, youtube, facebook etc)

I love my twitter because it’s so much more personal that just pictures.

What is the most bizarre thing someone has asked you to do?

Oh man. I could make a list for days!

Are you working on any other upcoming projects or a website you want to share with us?

I am currently working on a ton of things! I am always shooting with photographers around the area and working on cosplays for upcoming conventions! I also am dedicated to getting better at editing, so I’ve been devoting a lot of time to my youtube and vimeo!

Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I hope to be enjoying life still. As cliche as it sounds, life is so short and it’s too short to be unhappy! In a nutshell, let’s just keep fingers crossed I get to keep going to conventions, meet amazing new people, and get that Predator collection complete!

What is 1 piece of advice you can give someone?

I would say, if you love something, keep doing it. So many people are afraid to do things they love because they aren’t conventional. Follow your heart and follow your dreams, and make them become real. Be you and be proud of that.
