Cosplay Interview with BustyGeek48

My Hottie of the Month section is becoming hotter and hotter each month! This time, I’d like to feature Sam who is known on the internets as @BustyGeek48 – and let me tell you, she is both beautiful and super super nerdy!

Big thanks to Samantha for taking time out of her day to be featured as this month’s Hottie!

Tell the world who you are and what you do.

Housekeeper and server by day, webcam model by night, single mom always.

Explain your normal day – what are your routines?

There’s such a thing as normal?!? I balance a job, a business, autism therapy, webcam modelling, and try to find time for a social life and reading/gaming. eventually I’ll be trying to add school into the mix.

What city do you live in? What do you do for fun? Favorite movie/book/comic?

I live in a small city in southwestern Canada (near but not in Vancouver). Things I do for fun vary by the season. In the winter I play more video games and in the summer I like to visit the great local breweries and restaurants (usually searching for culinary adventures that I can test out in my own kitchen back home) and reading on the patio. Favourite Movie: Memoirs of a Geisha Book(s): A Song of Ice an Fire (the whole series) Video Game: Skyrim (anything Elderscrolls)

What type of a “nerd” would you consider yourself to be? (sexy, smart, video game, comic book, etc)

I usually joke that I’m a generic geek or Basic geek. I dabble in all sorts of things and just get dorkily excited about them. whether it be Firefly, or whatever game I’m playing, or the history of political philosophy.

You cosplay actively as well correct? What is your favorite outfit so far? How often do you cosplay? How much time do you spend on your costume?

I’ve been cosplaying as Tifa Lockhart for a couple of years now and only recently have been branching out into others. Tifa is my favourite because of how recognizable I am as the character, but as soon as I make my Moxxi costume from Borderlands, I feel it’ll be dethroned. I spend a few hours a week searching for components.

Would you consider yourself more of a “Miss Marvel, save the world!” or “Harley Quinn, SCREW everybody” in nature?

I’m known for my save the world complex as it is, so Miss Marvel I shall be. I’m nowhere near enough of a rebel to be Harley Quinn.

Do you attend any conventions or have you ever been to SDCC? How often do you go to conventions? Which is your favorite? Any plans to attend upcoming conventions?

Where I live there aren’t any nearby. It would be a bucket list item for sure. maybe the Calgary Expo next year to start.

Your social media/website has some great modelling photos –which one is your favorite?

I guess I just take a half decent selfie. my cosplay still in it’s hobby stage. Maybe a professional shoot in the near future.

IF Playboy ever asked you to do a photo shoot, would you accept?

Well, I suppose it’s a step less risqué than I’m currently doing. I would absolutely do it.

Do you read/collect comic books? Do you collect anything else? What is your favorite collectible?

Plaid shirts, the typical Canadian girl I am. Some rule against collecting lumberjacks, next best thing. In all seriousness though, my favourite collectable is a POP vinyl Dovahkiin figurine. He lives high at the throat of…my address.

What is ONE thing that a person would not know by looking at you?

I have a hard time convincing people that I’m a geek. I feel like I’m constantly having to defend and validate to others. As though a girl can’t wear hot pink stilettos and slay dragons.

What are some of your guilty pleasures?

A good Old Fashioned.

What is your favorite way to promote your site or yourself? (twitter, youtube, facebook etc)

Twitter.

What is the most bizarre thing someone has asked you to do?

There are too many to pick from.

Are you working on any other upcoming projects or a website you want to share with us?

I’m not really sure right now. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? If one thing is certain, it is that I will be nowhere near what I have planned for it today. Just taking it one day at a time, and seizing the moments along the way as much as possible.

What is 1 piece of advice you can give someone?

I live by the mantra “What are you going to do with this one and only life?”. Don’t be afraid to be bold and unapologetically you
