5,000 SDCC Tickets To Be Sold Soon

Comic-Con just sent out an email that many people will enjoy – well 5,000 people will enjoy. Every year there are returned badges  that get resold. One struggle is finding a suitable way to sell tickets in order for many people to get a chance to purchase one.

Comic-Con has decided to sell 5,000 individual passes to 2012 SDCC. This is the best way to do it and will allow the most amount of people a chance to grab one if they missed their chance – or the fact that tickets sold out insanely quick. Make sure to have your Comic Con Badge if you plan on trying to snag one. Below is the official email:

Dear Friends,

The Comic-Con Member ID website will be closing May 24th (5:30 Pacific Time: PT) in advance of our cancelled and returned badge resale. The badge resale will not take place over the Memorial Day weekend or on Memorial Day. If you know someone who would like to participate in the badge resale, but has not yet signed up for a Member ID, please instruct them to sign-up as soon as possible. The only way to participate in the badge sale is to have a Member ID.

We have struggled with how to offer our returned badges for sale this year. Because of time constraints our choices were to not have a resale this year or use the online system we have in place. We know there are a lot of you counting on the resale to attend Comic-Con so we have decided to have a resale and to use the system we currently have in place. Since we received so few returned Comic-Con 4-day badges, we decided to split them into single day badges to accommodate more people who want to attend this year.

We will have 5,000 single day badges available for purchase.

It is important to remember that while great efforts have been taken for the badge resale to proceed smoothly, it is probable that the number of people attempting to purchase a badge, or technical issues, could have a negative impact on the process and your ability to get a badge for Comic-Con 2012.

This will be the last badge sale for Comic-Con 2012. Once the allotted number of badges have been sold, regardless of any problems, badge sales will be considered closed and final for this year’s Comic-Con.

If you would like to participate in the resale, please go to http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci_reg.php for additional information.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Here is some more info about the ticket sales:
