Living in Chicago does have some benefits – we have great summers, the best skyline in the US, and we get a bunch of great movies that are filmed here. Over the years some of the most notable movies have been filmed here such as: Transformers, Batman, and now……
SUPERMAN
That’s right all your superman fanboys – Chicago Business has confirmed that superman is being filmed in chicago late this summer. Filming for Superman will begin in August 2011 and will last 2-3 months. This means that if you live in Chicago (which I do), you should check craigslist often since they WILL be looking for extras – and who doesn’t like being in movies! SDCC will keep all you Chicagoans updated as soon as news breaks.
Superman will have an estimated budget of $175 million and there is strong hope that this new superman does better than the last one – wait there was a superman movie filmed — exactly my point!
Did they have a listing yet on craigslist?? i cant find any.

They are going to start filiming around August of this year. I am sure there will be listings on CL around June/July.
