Dark Knight Rises Will Film in Pittsburgh

I just read on Newsarama, that The Dark Knight Rises, which is Christopher Nolan’s third and possibly final Batman movie will shoot primarily in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Pittsburgh Film Office claimed yesterday that they had met with Warner Bros and closed the deal. Nolan stated:

“Pittsburgh is a beautiful city,” the London-born director said in a statement. “We have been able to find everything we were looking for here, and I am excited to spend the summer in Pittsburgh with our final installment of Batman.”

Dawn Keezer, the director of the Pittsburgh Film Office, stated that they have not yet picked the exact locations of each scene but fell in love with the diversity of architecture and the gorgeous buildings. Well, just to let you know, we also have a lot of that here in Chicago – O wait one was already filmed here…. Anyways, The film is scheduled to be released in theaters nationwide July 20, 2012.
