Image Comics East Of West #1 – Sells Out

Image Comics have been on a tear lately – Just about everything they release seems to become an instant hit and sells out.

 

The latest comic to sell out is East of West #1 by Jonathan Hickman (THE MANHATTAN PROJECTS) and Nick Dragotta. 

East of West is an apocalyptic Western released on March 27. 2013 and has quickly sold out on release day.

It will receive a second printing (Diamond Comics code FEB138443), going on shelves in stores on April 24, the same day as EAST OF WEST #2.

The best-selling debut of Hickman-penned Image Comics series to date, EAST OF WEST #1 introduces readers to a world on the verge of collapse where incarnations of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse roam a sprawling landscape and all signs point to an inglorious end.

Currently there are a few different variant covers – There is a Forbidden Planet and Ghost Variant.

Nick Dragotta recently tweeted that there is an exclusive cover also being sold by Beach Ball Comics and will be available this weekend at WonderCon.

In contrast to the spiraling fate of humankind depicted in its pages, the beginning of EAST OF WEST has been a critical triumph:
