Every once in a while, I will check ebay or other sites that sell comics and see what the current market brings for a great comic. We all know that Comic Connect sold Amazing Fantasy #15 for $1.1 million – which is definitely a serious chunk of change.
While searching the current listings, I came across some very rare comics and checked out the prices. There is currently a Detective Comics #27
CGC Graded 4.0 that has a bid of $245,000 with a buy it now of $285K – That is serious money. It always amazes me and makes me wonder who these people are that have enough money to spend on a comic that most of us would not even be able to spend on a house!
The Human Torch #2
has a high offer of $29,000 with an asking buy it now price of $99,000. That is nearly 1/3 under the asking price!
The next highest priced comic currently on auction is Incredible Hulk #1
with a current price of $66,000 and graded: CGC VF/NM: 9.0 – this is one comic that I am anxious to see what it will sell for.
Finally another comic worth discussing is a restored Action Comics #1 
This Action Comics #1 is graded: CGC FA/GD: 1.5 and is listed as an “affordable” copy. With 24 bids and currently at $60,000 this would NOT be something that I personally consider affordable. There are 4 days left in this auction and I cant wait to see what this will sell for!
