Burglars Break into Philadelphia Comic Book Shop

SOUTH STREET – March 19, 2013 (WPVI) — Philadelphia Police say one man is in custody and one still at large in the burglary of a comic book store on South Street.

 

It was all caught on camera on March 2nd at 4:50 a.m.

 

Police say the burglars smashed the front window of Atomic City Comics in the 600 block of South Street and went inside.

 

Surveillance video shows them taking cash and other items, putting them in a red bag and fleeing.

Officers responding to the scene just after the burglary caught up with one of the men. He was arrested and charged.

 

Investigators are still looking for the other man. They released the following description:

Male, unknown race, stocky build, short dark colored hair, wearing a baseball cap, dark colored hooded sweatshirt, dark colored pants and dark colored sneakers.
