Prepping Your SDCC Twitter Account

So you are going to comic-con – Congrats. Now it is time to prep your SDCC Twitter. With a little over a month to go, now is when some of the most important planning for San Diego Comic-Con takes place. Just like the start of a sport’s season, the month leading up to the opening is crucial for a successful season. So, having attended SDCC for the last seven years, I’ve revisited this topic a number of times and have found that one of the most frequently underestimated components of preparation for the “King of Cons” is the use of Twitter.

 

One thing that makes SDCC so unique is that it offers as many unique experiences as there are attendees. That being said, following the right people on Twitter can significantly enhance the experience. So, even if you’ve never used Twitter before, I’d suggest you make an account ASAP. Here are some of my favorites:

@ComicConBlog: SDCC coverage hits throughout the year at this site.

@Crazy4ComicCon: This Southern California-based writer always provides a fun look at Geek culture.

@Evico: There may be no better single resource than @Evico. Follow and be amazed!

@SDCCNerdsAttack: This group is constantly tweeting SDCC findings.

@SD_Comic_Con: Quite simply, this is the unofficial guide to it all!
