The 2013 C2E2 took place in Chicago at McCormick Place on Friday April 26th till Sunday April 28th.
Every year C2E2 gets bigger and better. This year was no different. The entire weekend was full of exciting guests, great comics artwork, incredible panels and excellent cosplay.
C2E2 is the one convention I look forward to attending each year because the show is run flawlessly.
Just to give you guys a visual – THIS is how big the event was:
The first thing you notice when coming to McCormick Place is the GIANT C2E2 logo along with the bright red carpet. The event itself is HUGE – there is more than enough room for people to walk around comfortably through the aisles. There were only a few aisles that got congested – but overall traffic kept moving.
There were also many great panels throughout the weekend – Attendance was somewhat low on Friday but picked up by Saturday.
I want to thank everyone who put in all the hard work to ensure that this convention was a success. I know there is a ton of work that goes behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly – trust us, it is appreciated!
I had an opportunity to meet some of the readers of this blog and got a chance to talk to some of the biggest names in the comic industry! I had Rob Guillory sketch in my Chew hardcover and met Kurtis Wiebe/Tyler Jenkins (Peter Panzerfaust) and Tim Seeley (Revival).
There were tons of displays – with Marvel and DC dominating most of the convention space. Without further distractions, let me leave you with some of the pictures I took during the event.
